Apollo has launched an "Apollo for Builders" page that pitches Apollo as the sales data and outreach layer for AI agents. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or an agent you built yourself connects to Apollo through its MCP server or API, and Apollo's own agent turns a plain-English goal into a multi-step prospecting job, showing a preview and the credit cost before it spends anything. If you are deciding which B2B data tool to plug into your AI assistant, here is what Apollo now offers and how Parvenu's MCP server compares.
We make Parvenu, so we're biased. Every claim about other tools below comes from their own website as of October 29, 2026.

What Apollo launched
The new Apollo for Builders page is headed "Give your agent a GTM expert." It says Apollo "connects to any agent or AI tool over MCP or API, including the one you built," and shows Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor as the main ways in, with logos for OpenAI, Claude, Cursor, Codex, GitHub, Replit and n8n.
The page describes three jobs the agent does:
- Find: you describe your ideal customer in plain English and Apollo returns matching people. The page says it can go beyond its own database with web research and Google Maps, so it can find local businesses too.
- Plan: Apollo's agent turns a goal into a multi-step job. The example is a six-step plan to email car dealership owners.
- Reach out: it builds sequences or drafts one-to-one emails and sends them through Apollo, and it skips contacts who asked not to be contacted.
The part most buyers will care about is cost control. Apollo says handing it a job is free, and you pay credits only for specific actions. Its example is 20 credits to save 20 local businesses from Google Maps. Before spending credits, Apollo shows a preview of the results and the total cost, and waits for your approval.
How Apollo MCP works
The Builders page sits on top of Apollo MCP, Apollo's connector for AI tools. According to that page:
- Clients: Apollo lists Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity, and says you can find Apollo in their connector directories. If it is not listed, you can paste the standalone server URL, https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp, into your tool.
- Setup: you sign in with OAuth. Apollo says no API key, code or configuration files are needed.
- Actions: search for people and companies, get emails and phone numbers, create or update Apollo records, build sequences and write emails, manage sending domains and mailbox deliverability, see who opened, clicked and replied, and manage your task queue.
- Data: Apollo cites a database of 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies.
- Plans: the MCP page says "Any Apollo plan qualifies, including free," with no separate MCP subscription. Limits inside your AI tool mirror your Apollo account.
Two details on Apollo's own pages do not fully line up, so check them for your account. The Builders FAQ says the agent is available "on paid plans with a verified business account," while its hero says the MCP or API connection works "on every plan." And the pricing page says "API access is available on Custom plans." If you plan to build your own agent on Apollo's API rather than use the MCP connector, confirm which plan you need.
Apollo's pricing today
- Free: $0, described as "Exploring Apollo or very light usage."
- Basic: $49 a month per seat, for "Individual sellers doing regular outbound," with email sequencing and core integrations.
- Professional: $99 a month per seat, for "Full-time reps needing higher credit limits, AI features, call recording."
- Custom: pricing on request, with custom volumes, SSO, advanced security, dedicated support and API access.
- Credits: pooled across the team, granted at the start of each billing cycle, and they do not roll over. All seats on an account must be on the same plan.
How Parvenu's MCP server compares

Parvenu also lets AI assistants work with its data directly. The Parvenu MCP page says the assistant gets "the same tools you'd hit over our API" and runs them while you talk to it. Here is how the two line up on the points that matter.
- Connecting: Parvenu's remote server is https://mcp.parvenu.io/mcp. You create an API key in the Parvenu dashboard, add a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and paste the key. There is nothing to install or host. Apollo's OAuth sign-in and directory listing is the smoother setup for non-technical reps.
- Clients: Parvenu says "Any MCP client works. We've tested Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor." Apollo names Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- Data: Parvenu cites 1B+ contacts and 68M+ companies across 125+ countries. Apollo cites 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies.
- Finding contacts: Parvenu uses a waterfall: "If one provider misses, the next one tries." Its MCP tools return work emails, personal emails and direct mobile numbers, with verification run before results come back. Apollo also lists waterfall enrichment as a feature.
- Paying for results: Parvenu charges a credit for an email only when it verifies as valid or catch-all, and nothing for invalid, unknown or not-found results. Its homepage puts it simply: "No hit, no charge." Apollo's answer to cost control is the preview and approval step before credits are spent.
- Beyond contact data: through MCP, Parvenu agents can search companies by industry, headcount, location and tech stack, enrich domains, websites and posts, pull hiring and open-to-work signals, draft personalized outreach, create an ICP, run enrichment, download lists and check credits. Parvenu also ships playbooks for sourcing, enrichment, personalization, ICP scoring and hiring signals that the assistant can follow in order.
- Sending: Apollo has its own sequencer, so an agent can enroll contacts and send from Apollo. Parvenu does not have a native sequencer. It sends leads to the tools you already use, including Smartlead, Instantly, Lemlist, Reply.io, Mailshake, HubSpot, Salesforce and Close.
When Apollo is the better fit
- You want one platform for data, sequences, dialing and task management, and you want your AI assistant to run all of it.
- Your reps are not technical and you want a connector they can find in Claude's or ChatGPT's directory and sign in to with OAuth.
- You want a preview and an approval step before any credits are spent.
- You need local businesses from Google Maps in the same agent workflow as your outbound sequences.
Where Parvenu fits
Parvenu is built for teams that already have a sending tool and a CRM and want the best possible data feeding them, run by people or by an AI agent.
- Waterfall enrichment with built-in verification. Several providers are tried in turn, and every email is verified before it reaches you. No outside verifier is needed.
- You only pay for usable emails. Invalid, unknown and not-found results cost nothing.
- Flows that start on buying signals. Parvenu Flows can start when a company raises a round, has a hiring spike, gets a new exec in seat or a contact changes jobs. A flow can score each lead against your ICP, research it with AI, write an icebreaker and send it to Smartlead, with weak fits saved to a list instead of contacted. A record arriving through MCP can start a flow too.
- Pricing by credit volume. Parvenu's pricing page lists a free plan with 100 credits a month and paid plans from $49 a month for 1,000 credits, with a 10% discount on annual billing. There is also a 14-day free trial with 1,000 credits.

Is Apollo MCP free?
Apollo's MCP page says any Apollo plan qualifies, including free, with no separate MCP subscription. Actions that use data still spend your plan's credits, and the Builders FAQ says the agent itself needs a paid plan with a verified business account.
What is the Apollo MCP server URL?
Apollo lists https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp for tools where Apollo is not in the connector directory. Parvenu's is https://mcp.parvenu.io/mcp.
Does Parvenu's MCP server work with Claude and ChatGPT?
Yes. Parvenu says any MCP client works and that it has tested Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. You connect with an API key from your Parvenu dashboard.
Which is cheaper for AI-driven prospecting, Apollo or Parvenu?
Both start paid plans at $49 a month. Apollo prices Basic per seat, while Parvenu prices plans by credit volume, and Parvenu only charges for emails that verify as valid or catch-all. Which costs less depends on your seat count and how many contacts you enrich.
Can an AI agent send emails through Parvenu?
Parvenu does not have its own sequencer. An agent can find, verify and personalize leads in Parvenu, and Flows send them on to tools like Smartlead, Instantly, Lemlist or HubSpot.
